Ok, Some of you guys may not believe this but here I go anyway..

I drive my truck daily and have to use it on company trips several times a month, today I wanted to see just how it would do gas mileage wise on a trip from Chattanooga, Tn. to Greenville, S.C. about 300 miles.
I filled up right before I got on I-75 to Atlanta. I was getting 19.4 until I was tied up in Atlanta traffic for about 20 minutes. My mileage at the end of the trip averaged 18.4. This is on the cruise control at 65 mph, never over 1500 rpm. When I filled up the 2nd time I figured gallons used and miles traveled and the trip computer was spot on.
I love this friggin' truck....

65mph,where is that located on the speedometer ???:dontknow:

Have A Kind Day

With todays gas prices no wonder your posting up these numbers. Whats that Hagar tune "Can't Drive ??". This stilll applies today therefore I have a 9.1 average at 70% highway miles. HTF do you guys keep it at the speed limit for that long? :D ;)

My truck is a 05 with the 4.56 gearing, an 04 with 4.10 gears should do better.

It's not easy to run 65 with all the ricers and junk 4WD's passing you revving
their shit like it will run.

I get about 17 on the highway doing 80.I have the 4.56's now, though. With the 4.10's even at 85 it didn't feel right.

Damn Jack! I need lessons. I've never been over 13.2!! Hell I don't even think about putting it into 6th until around 65-70!!

I bought a bike and I ride it to work, I am getting about 3.2mdpm(Moutain Dew's Per Mile)

I got 16.5mpg@80, in town in get 12mpg. I hear these tails of getting 18 and 19 and thats scary, I cant do less than 80mph on the highway.... feels like I am driving Mrs Daisy!

The last long highway trip (500 miles round trip) averaged 13.4 mpg....average speed was 79.2 ;)

Cant imagine getting into the 16-19 range :dontknow: ..tail wind, do the speed limit and go on a diet :D

I've gotten 14.6 im my QC @ 75-80mph on the freeway, about 10-11 though in the city. 65mph is just not the most fuel efficient speed for mine. I tried telling the officer that but he just doesn't understand:dontknow: :D

I AM AVERAGING 13.5 TO 14.2 IN THE CITY EVER SINCE NEW- I GO ABOUT 30 MILES TOTAL TO WORK EACH DAY PLUS A LITTLE PLAY TIME HERE AND THERE.:p :burnout:
