FALKEN STZ/04 305/40/22

460 tread is pretty hard. In the next week or two I'm putting on BF Googrich G-Force's. 300 tread. Nice and sticky.

I just took a set of the BFGs off, I had 30,000 miles on them. I put the conti's on this time, And i like them alot. In my opinion the BFGs are not worth the money, Although i did like the tread pattern, I had some cracking going on.
call it weather cracks or what ever, But i drive it every day and always put armor all on. Also have a set on the wifes GTI and they are cracked all to hell. So the Conti's 305/40ZR/22 so far seems like a very good tire. Handles great, And real good traction too. JMHO

I have them and they are a great tire all round. Excuse the pun. They are actually a soft tire that has deep tread therfore the higher rating. They are sticky without heating, haven't heated them up on the track to see how they do. They are quiet and decent handling. I think the tread depth makes them not as stiff in the turns, but on my old set they handled good, but little tread left.

I found 8 toyo proxy st. 325/40/r22s. Im ordering mine monday. so if interested pm me and I will get them for you. $280 per tire plus tax. If you can pick them up at my house in Jersey, then no shipping. If shipping needed I dont know the cost probably around $25 per tire or so. I did a lot of searching for these throughout country and finally found 8 tucked away in 2 warehouses. pm if interested

Trek he is selling them to you , he must not like them

Different tire and different size. I want to stick with stock tire size but wanted opinions on the Falken tire.

Sorry man, never had the Pirelli's since I've owned the truck, but I like these Falken especially for the price.

How long have you had them on the truck?

Well.... THERE'S yer problem! :argh:

I've had the Falkens on the back for almost a year now and they seem like a good all around tire for our trucks. The compound is a bit harder so they do light-up easier than the softer Pirellis. I am not sure how they would hook if you lowered the tire pressure and warmed them up first. They do bite good in the snow (due to the deeper and more efficient tread pattern).

I put them on the front this spring and they handle fine. Overall, I prefer them to the stockers.

I suspect they would be good for the occasional blast over 100 mph but are not rated for long duration at high speeds.

Thanks for the info.. I need new 2 tires so I think I will order them. They are cheap enough and have a real nice sidewall and tread pattern.
