FALL 09 PANAMA GTG SEPT 24-27TH

Hey Stink, Mark and I went to Steele, Al. Drag Strip today , it is the closest 1/4 mi. dragstrip to Chattanooga. The Challenger is a Mr. Norm Race car, I think it is run in a Super Stock class. It it one of the cars specifically built by Dodge to be a race car. It really looked great but we never got to see it make a pass. My best time of the day was a 12.23 with a crappy 60' of 1.86. I have never seen a dragstrip that hooked TO GOOD. I could not get the truck off the line without bogging the engine. I even tried dropping the clutch on the rev limiter, 6000 rpm and the truck would just fall on its face. Still had much fun, Marks tranny was to new for him to race it yet but he is one hell of a good pit crew.

I was supposed to be there yesterday to see that car run. So far it has run in the low 9's but they're still dialing in the suspension... 8's is the goal. I'll try to find a video to send you.

My brother and I will hopefully be making a couple of trips to Steele in late October early Nov to make some passes with my truck and his race car if ya'll want to come back. That Challenger will prob come too.
