So we are planning our yearly family trip back home to Illinois/Indiana. Normally we just try to make the trip as fast as possible but this time I want to at least stop and enjoy a few sights. Some things already on the list are the meteor crater near Winslow, AZ and the giant cross in Groom, TX. Any other suggestions along this category? I have a attached a link for the map of our exact route. So it would need to be pretty close to our path and fairly inexpensive...free is even better. I appreciate any suggestions!
