Famosa 1/4 Mile Racetrack in Bakersfield CA Aug 22 08

I had a great time as usual at the track. Jerry (Trainman) set his best trap speed record of over 111 even with missing 2nd Ron (BlackPearl) got his 1st ever 1/4 mile run in with a 2.0 60ft and a respectable reaction time. Ron is now born on Aug 22 2008@ 7:30ish PM.

Since this is Stinker's turn to have the spotlight on the video sponsor I thought of him and took these pics:

We get to the track, pass inspection, and talk to Ron about what to do on his Maiden Voyage. This brings back memories of Jerry (Trainman), Mike (AwdIsuzu) and Mike (Nowwhat) coaching me in running at the track:

Well as with any shifter you could always miss 2nd but this goes to show you won't miss 3rd with a X-Metal shifter !!! :marchmellow: :marchmellow: :marchmellow:

I loaned out all but 1 camera for other friends that needed them so I only had 1 cam to work with. Jerry told me you want me to do a video for you and your wish is my command at a later time.

My pics are not used in any magazines. I do this for the love of racing.

Hey Wifey....even if a video existed of the missed shift....I would not allow it. The air was hot last night, about 95 when we arrived and down to 83 at midnight. My 3 passes...12.76 @ 109.79 w/ 1.935 60', 12.83 @ 109.39 w/ 1.936 60', and finally 13.10 @ 111.31 !!!!!!!!! w/ 1.840 60' (damn that missed shift, this was going to be a great run!)

The windshield tint is still there. The sun was hitting the windshield at the right angle to make it appear that there was no tint.

awesome pics wish i could have someone with me to take some pics and vids like you, good runs trainman i'm waiting for the weather to cool off here and take mine back to the track hope i can get my 60's back down, last time at the track they weren't that good, my best was a 1.81. what all to you remove for weight

I have a bed cover that weighs 120 lbs, a tailgate that weighs 60 lbs and I run lighter front wheels and tires that save 60 lbs ( 30 lbs each side with 8.5 X20 wheels and a 245-45-20 tire). The truck stock weight with stock wheels and tires and the bedcover and 1/4 tank of gas is 5,000 lbs. without me. I remove 240 and add back my 210 body and I'm right at 5,000 with me and 1/2 to 1/4 tank of fuel on board.
