November 5th and 6th will be the last Test and Tune of the season for Famoso Raceway. I hope to have my M&H Cheater slicks if my Bogart wheels are done (16x10). The weather looks like it will be in the high 60's and low 70's for the day. Gates open at 8am each day. I spoke with Dom and The 505FastestViper will not be ready in time. I hope lots of you SoCal guys can make it up here (Bakersfield) and hopefully some of the NorCal guys will make the trip down. I went up there on Oct. 9th to their part of the country so hopefully they will return the favor. C'mon Noid and CheFred.....bring all the Hemi guys and some Viper trucks. I hope SRTBrad will be there to film.:burnout:

I will say I'll make it up unless I have to work on those days. My schedule is always on call and last min jobs so I can't make a "for sure" commitment but I will try.

We need (Ken) the self claimed NA record holder to show up and run. I'm sure with 10K he could replace the clutch and break it in with a 1400 mile road trip to Bakersfield. If he beats Trainman I'll let Dom give Ken a reach around on his way back to rustland.

Just checked the weather forecast and it promises to be great air that weekend. I will be there on Saturday the 5th. Gates open at 8am. Temps are forecast to be a high of 63 degrees and a low of 43 at night. Racing starts at 9am so the temp could be in the low to mid 50's that morning. The DA should be well below 1'000 feet and could be as low as 200'. Just checked Drag Times DA calculator and last year (November 16) when the temp was 63 degrees the DA was 995' and at 54 degrees it was 330'.

I would love to come down but having a 16 month at home. It's a little harder to get away these days.

good luck to all that goes - be safe and have fun

I don't know anyone in the forum yet but I am gonna do my best to come out. May have a buddy with his 13 sec duramax with me too.

With Jerry's help I will be there on Saturday the 5th to video the event. SoCal 10's lets make this GTG and get your runs on video. Even Ken is invited to stretch his new record in Jerry's face.:D

Well I just got voluntold to work another weekend so its a no go for me now. I did put in vacation for the TNT at Fontana on Nov 19 if anyone wants to come out.

Weather forecast update..... Saturday the high will be 60 degrees. Wow. There is a chance of rain on sunday, so you socal guys should try to make it on Saturday. Gates open at 8 am, racing starts at 9am running till dark.

Now they are saying the high will be 56-58 degrees. Come on SoCal , heres your chance for a really good time.
