Had a good day, probably my most consistent day ever. No new record time, but my second best run ever and a new best 1/8th mile speed. Also on the 2nd pass I beat a C6 Z06(427/ 505hp) heads up, he was stock with drag radials. And on the 3rd pass I beat a Lightning with a Kenne Bell supercharger , even though he ran a personnal best against me. It was the same Black Lightning I beat at Fontana in January, see the video by SRTBrad for Fontana. Sorry no video today.
The runs were as follows:

Run 1: 9.56 am, 62 degrees, DA 1092, 60' 1.615, 1/8th [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.719 @ 117.42.

Run 2: 10:52 am, 64 degrees, DA 1231, 60' 1.641, 1/8th [email protected] (new best speed), 1/4 mile 11.676 @ 117.52 (2nd best ever pass). The Z06 ran 12.598 @ 119.00. My RT .131 vs his RT .651, winning margin was 1.4422 (about 12-14 carlengths)

Run 3: 2:13 pm, 75 degrees, DA 2019, 60' 1.612, 1/8th [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.720@ 116.59. The Lightning ran 12.059 @ 113.55 (his personnal best). My RT was .042 vs his RT .062, very good race but the winning margin was .3594 sec.

Run 4: 4:54 pm, 78 degrees, DA 2272, 60' 1.608, 1/8th [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.773 @ 115.90. The air was going away and I accidently popped the shifter out of 3rd gear just before I was ready to shift to 4th, otherwise this might have been the best pass of the day. My 60' was good and I had the best 330' time of 4.810 on this run.

Run 5: 6:37 pm, 75 degrees, DA 2083, 60' 1.629, 1/8th [email protected], 1/4 mile 11.720 @ 117.28. This was the best CORRECTED pass of the day (corrected time 11.438 @ 120.243)

All in all a good day and 2 great kills, especially a 3200 lb, 505 hp Z06 vette, sweet:rock:

Very Nice......

Nice job Jerry, still waiting for the valvebody from Dusty and I will be ready to roll again. Hope Dom gets his ready soon so we can all meet up somewhere.

fantastic Jerry! great runs, great kills! way to represent mopar!!

Your truck runs great. Still dont understand how a KB L is so slow. Is he still on a stock longblock?

BTW I bought myself a kirkey the other day.

You ain't lying about being consistent, great runs!!

Jose is a great guy, and yes he says the engine is still stock, with long tube headers, and he has a liquid intercooler with ice cooler. Also he was running lightened without a tailgate and passenger seat, along with lighter front and rear wheels and full slicks.

A modded L and a Z06 in the same day, congratulations!

I am curious though, How can a record 1/8th speed, not equal a record 1/4 speed?

Because I've gone faster in the 1/4 mile previous to that run(118.15 a couple of years ago at Sacramento in minus 660 feet DA, and just last month at Famoso I went 118.01). I think sometimes my 1/8th mile speed depends on when I shift to 4th gear. I shift right at the 1/8th mile into 4th, so if I sometimes hold it a little longer I probably have a little higher 1/8th mile speed than if I shift just before the 1/8th. The factory tach is not the most accurate (like 250 rpm increments) so I can easily vary shift points 100-200 rpm on any given run, although I am pretty close.

That makes sense. I had no idea the factory tach was so inaccurate. Again, congratulations on several great runs.

I found 2 videos of you buddy, taken from the Titan peeps on the Titan forums I still frequent, I could recognize it was you from the shifting. Great runs and great driving man!
