Hey Paul, how are we going to do the draft, will it be live? I will be gone starting on Thursday and won't be back til Tuesday, so I won't have a chance to do anything this coming weekend with it, just FYI.

We have 12 teams. I will create the league and get it set up... Any suggestions on names (VTCoA, stinky pinkys, etc...)

I have always did auto draft since it was too hard to try and get people to do a live draft. I am open for either though.

Some expressed interest in $$ We can figure a dollar amount and if you want to participate the person who ranked the highest that contributed at the end of the season wins the $$. I am game for anything up to $20 but over that I am out.

Sounds good to me, I'm ok with the auto draft. I'm good up to the $20 too, that keeps it reasonable for everybody at least. Let's get it rolling before I head out of town Thursday morning.

You get to rank your players from 1 to 50 or so. When it is your turn in the draft you will get the lowest ranked player on your list that is still available.

By default Yahoo has all the players rank according to their experts. If you do not change your draft ranking, it will go according to their experts.

If there is someone in particular that you really want, you will want to move them up in your rankings.

Once I set it up you will see how it works, and you can asks any questions you like!

I think we can probably just trust everybody to send the $20 to the winner at the end. If someone doesn't pay, it's no big loss, but you know they will be ostracized from the site as punishment heheheheh.

I am thinking about setting the draft to LIVE next Friday (August 29th). This way everyone gets to see what all of the teams do with all of their players and there is only one pre-season game after that. If our draft is not set by September 1st we lose the first week.

That sounds great depending on the time. I will be flying to Detroit that day. I will leave Tampa area about 5:15pm to catch a 7:45pm flight, which won't land until 10:45pm (if it's on time) and then it will be another hour before I get home (All eastern time of course).

you just have to rank your players from highest to lowest and the draft will happen automatically. You will find out who you get the next time you login after the draft has completed.
