fastest Ram in the world is wingless

I forget....who was travelling down the drag strip with the back end swingin' like J-Lo walking down a flight of stairs?

Someone will have to remind me.

At < 90mph.....how much do you think that plastic piece o' crap would have helped....:D

and I was running out of shape on purpose just to show those viper boys how to do a save....;)

First off, it's not plastic. It's fiberglass with a foam core.

Secondly, I was just giving you crap. In the quarter mile, you're not really reaching speeds to take advantage of the wing. :) (that's some cold sh!t, Kev)

I wonder what your time would be like *with* the wing.

slloooower....:D

the viper that trapped 157mph pulled his wing off too....but it is set up with a real wing for 200+ Silverstate runs...

It's not a SRT, it don't need one:) SRT's stand out from the crowd. Heck if your going to put anything in the bed tall, it only take 3 mins to remove. Removed mine looked like a 4.7 with a body kit.

I'm happy for you Mike

I was actually shocked to see the trucks that run speedweek are wingless....???? the downforce must be in the belly pan

Belly pans do two things.

First is they greatly reduce the turbulance under the truck which causes drag.

Second is if you can reduce the flow of air under the truck with the front air dam, and also use the belly pan to channel the air our from under the truck you creat a low pressure area, and that provides you with down force.

You have to remember that wings/spoilers create drag. There is a fine line between the two forces that you want to achieve. Look at the Open Wheel race cars from F1, Cart, and the IRL. They adjust the wings so that they get just enough down force so the car is safe to handle, but not so much as to cause the drag to slow them down.
