Sounds as if it is an issues between people who view the situation differently...doesn't sound like a rip off, just a friendly deal that went bad due to poor communication...

for some, yes, roy, technically, it appears as no money has been lost, just time, disappointment, frustration, whatever that is "worth"...
for others...yes, money, investment, parts, has changed hands, so the outcome/issue here is slightly different...
i guess we will have to cipher through the bullshit to make our own decisions on whether or not to do business with 'the cook'...errrr...'crook'...ok, i don't really know....
if he has a good explanation for what exactly has been going on, then all may be well, but it seems he has no desire to rectify any of this...

Ok thanks...just trying to get the stories sorted out...I just hate to think that someone has intentionally tried to rip off someone else here...I guess I tend to err on the side of there must be several different views of the situation...just want to be as open as possible before I (we) start to judge those that we have known for a long time here.

chubby sold greg his trans over a year ago...still owes him $800 for it
venemous1 (?) bought an sct and ecm, waited forever, greg said he wouldn't charge him at all because of his tardiness, and would send it for free...never has (yet) but nothing has been charged to his card/paypal, so technically he didn't lose any money...just aggravation (to put it mildly)
i know of a couple other members who told me they were gonna buy stuff from him recently, but i don't know how that turned out...
this is what i think i've been able to piece together...
and i don't have any experience with the chef...so i try not to judge...but it's hard when the bandwagon is already overflowing with people that you know personally...

I did not know about Clint not getting money for the tranny...has there been a reason offered? There are quite a few people here who have had issues with Clint (me included) so there maybe two sides to that story too, I have no data...but do recall an instance earlier this year when I called Clint and said I was going to be in West Palm and wanted to buy him a beer and all I got was a "F... you and die" and he hung up. May have just been having a bad day, because I have also seen a very giving side to him too.
All I know is that most differences of opinion have multiple stories and getting all of them on the table seldom happens.
...not my issue...hope we find a way for everyone to be satisfied...

Well it's like this, Greg posted the SCT and ECm sold on 9-02-09 when I gave him my CC # and such. It was supposed to be there the following Monday! That was the 7th of Sept. a month ago. Then he said he didn't get it out because of Labor Day weekend! Understandable though he said it was mailed when I purchased on the 2nd. Well days go by and I'm patient, still no parts. I wanted them prior to our Denton track GTG, that didn't happen and that was weeks later, so I called, and called and texted and PMd and got nothing. Now I'm worried and pissed cause this Cheftard ( cool new word I learned) had my CC # which I would usually never do but since he was a long time member and business owner I felt secure. Days continue to go by and still no return call or package. Daily and weekly I grew increasingly pissed off since I couldn't even get a 30 second phone call or PM or text or anything after about 30 farkin calls and PMs and texts to his ass. Finally spoke to him couple weeks ago on a Thurday night and he had his wife in the background and told her " I need you to ship this out in the morn and she agreed.( supposedly) Since that time again never heard back from him after numerous attempts. As of my "FaSTFOOD IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH" thread is when I officially said Fck it! That is along time of being patient and lied to and run around. As far as I know money has not been lost yet but the fcker can charge my card 2 years from now if he wanted. That's bullshit! So everyone can side with whom they want as this is not a who befriends who deal, it's a principal deal and about morals and values and total loss of respect and integrity. Like I said it's the rest of this "family" that is incredible beyond words. It has nothing to do with what material item a fellow member can help you with, but the fact that the member is WILLING and CARING enough of a fellow member to even share concern in their problem. Whether it'ws something as petty as this SCT and ECM was or about the health of another member, the Family is huge, strong and nationwide!:congrats:

This was a simple transaction between a member I haven't even talked to in a thread and myself. There were never any issues or problems other that myself getting Fcked. Hope that expains alot man. And again I hope there is an explanation but I would just laugh at it and call BS!
