the short block only has about 6k-7kmiles on it... bought it from x2vipers in janurary 08' with about 5k on it and only but a few thousand miles on it at the max! verifiable upon request....

the block could have cam bearing damage as my guy who removed my cam had trouble removing it. this will be addressed as my builder will inspect the cam bearing and advise. if the cam bearings needs to be replaced, i will replace them. and sell accordingly. if you are interested in buying the block with damaged cam bearing...i will consider that also, and sell accordingly. i should know more in the next few days as the engine is being taken out by monday, and at the machine shop by early next week. the truck ran perfect when i started to tear it apart. so other than the cam bearings, possibly needing to be replaced, the engine is in fine rotating condition.

well, if the cam bearings are fine or need to be replaced (and i repair them)

i think 3500 is fair


if someone is interested in buying the shortblock with the knowledge that the cam bearings will need to be replaced, i think 2500 is fair as i dont think it will cost more than 1k to replace them. and it saves me from the hassle of dealing with the problem.

bro im not kidding the cam rides on the block i promise you arrow had to machine the cam journals on my block we then had to have the cam chromed to make up the differance i promise yoiu all jokes aside they do not have cam bearings!!!

SO what exactly happened to this engine?

so the engine didnt have any damege prior to the teardown. but when my guy tried to take out the cam...he damaged the journals (thanks 505 for correcting and settin it straight!) i think....its going to the machine shop monday or so see the extent of the journal damage...if any at all...

so the rotating assembly is perfectly fine....just the journals could possibly be damaged...i wont sell someone the engine under the pretense of it being good without it being good. maybe some other person would have be fine with selling it as is and not saying a word.. but i wanted everyone to know that the engine could be slightly damaged (cam jounals only though) .. truck ran great prior to teardown. like i said this engine is extremely low miles....but ill update every who is interested during this upcoming week after i know whats going on.

engine is sound with no journal damage. torn it down completely and its being put back together now...should be ready to pick up by early next week
