I worked for my dad yesterday at the tire store because all 3 of our employees decided not to show up. So, me and the boss changed oil and tires all day. At the end of the day my dad handed me a 100 dollar bill and expressed his appreciation for me showing up. I got in my truck and the gas light popped on. So, I figured, what the hell, let's just fill it up. Filled it up with 93 octane @ 4.15/gal. Went inside to pay and came out with 50 cents!

Well, that is a plus

hahahaha and i still don't understand why i miss my truck so much lol.. with it in the shop i think i'm saving more money lol

don't be suprised if gas prices rise alot after this weekend. with the gtg in chattanooga and the associated commutes. im sure we will use most of the nations strategic gas surplus. so be prepared

When I read the title I knew it had to be a sad story.. But on the bright side you came out with $0.50. Not enough for a Snikers bar though... :dontknow: Can of 7up?

This is what makes me look forward to leaving the country like now.. I can let both her and her SRT cousin rest for a month at a time in the garage while I save the fuel fundage.

I bought a local newspaper with it!

oh your lucky, my tank was bone empty. filled her up, she took 24 gallons (34 gallons tank) and the pump stopped at $100. I could have put in another $40!

Wow, $4.15 for 93 octane. Thats what we pay for 87 here. Filled up the Denali (31 gallon tank) the other day and put in $111. That's a record for me and I've owned all kinds of vehicles including a couple of class A motorhomes. Years ago I paid 18 cents a gallon for super for a few weeks during a gas war (normal price = .27)

I WAS in a good mood when I got up today, but now I think I'll go to the kitchen and stick a fork in my eye. My truck is on empty
