Finally Broke into the 12's

I just got back from Moroso. I was able to finally break into the 12's tonight I was able to make 5 passes tonight which were as follows:

1st pass 13.0x @ 110 mph
2nd pass 12.7x @ 111 mph
3rd pass 13.4x @ 108 mph
4th pass 13.0x @ 110 mph
5th pass 12.6x @ 111 mph

As you could tell from my trap speed I still lots of room for improvement, I'm starting to figure out how to properly launch this monster and keep the tires planted. I could easily see run low 12's to high 11's with the proper launch.

I take it you're backing out of the throttle quite a bit to keep from spinning?

I'd love to see what your truck could do at a well prepped track like Atco (NJ).:rock:

What are you 60' and 1/8th mile times/speeds...

60' is a great indicator of launch, and the 1/8th mile vs 60' and 1/8th mi vs 1/4mi is a great measure of your shifting ability and/or traction loss between shifts...

It seems like you have too much power...

Congrats on the times and I can fully feel your pain as to the proper launch. It just takes practice. I'm still learning the right technique as well.

I can tell your having launch problems,Your times are scattered.I go through the same thing,Its hard to be consistent!!Stock tires?,Was the track prepped?,We have to get together for some runs at Moroso.You'll be running low 12s soon.
