yep, i've only been thinking about lowering it for 2 years, Boomer called me today and it was ordered, will be here next!!!
I will be selling my current 1" lowering kit for the rear... 50bucks plus shipping.. includes rancho blocks and u-bolts.

nice bucke... I'd consider posting this in the Sell section :p... I had Boomers kit on my RC ... and while I loved it... I did bottom out everywhere (here in the valley).... if it weren't for that , I'd be lowering the grocery getter too

??? Did you cut the bump stops in the back, and front and install boomers new front bump stops? I am surprised it bottomed out so much. Mine has never done that and the roads on Maui are horrific.

good point Pat, i had someone call the other day, and that was Exactly
what his shop forgot to do, then it handled perfeclty. our kits are designed
for handling, performance and ride, and looks are a side benefit. thanks for good words bro. i guess you can tell we had to cancel our Maui trip with everything thats happened around here. its the last time we won one, they dont have that incentive anymore. Rachel saved some of the trip and rescheduled it for July, hopefully everything works out and we can go!

where did you find a lowering kit for the rear only? i'm interested in yours but i've been looking and can't find anything that's just for the rear.

hopefully, if i can keep the ole' lady off my ass, i can get one of boomer's kits. by the way boomer, i requested info on your shifter a couple of weeks ago through your website and got no response. Do i need to pm you for that?

all you need to do is order a 1" block for a 1500 ram and get longer ubolts!!

<shrug> I dunno DC Performance did the install.... I should clarify though here's what it did
a: the tires would rub the wheelwell in the front on the freeway (due to large dips) you would hear a loud VVVVVTTT sound... it actually dented my wheelwell (it's only plastic) and ripped out one of the crappy screws holding it in..
b: when I say bottom out, I mean that my front end rubbed a lot, I had to slow down for dips, bumps... everything...

I guess, I wish there was a way that I could lower it and not have to drive slowly around town and on the freeway.

With all that said... I thought the lowering kit was awesome, and my new truck will of course be going back DC performance(for various things).... I just found that I didn't trust my truck at high speeds for worry that it would bottom out (it's disconcerting when you're doing 110 on a road and the wheel hits the wheelwells and jerks your car)... :dontknow:

i had the same thing happen to my QC with the lowering kit and i called boomer and he sent me a stiffer rated coil spring and my truck stoped hitting my front inside weelwells.....(ride is a little stiffer but it does not bottem out eneymore)

In hinesight, guess I shoulda bugged Gary about, he helped me out with some other issues I had... bottom line is I didn't want to giveup my truck to DC for a few days :D

I'll look into it again for my QC, but I'd need a LOT stiffer springs and probably better shocks as well... I'm convinced that the stock shocks are REAL sucky:dontknow:
