first drive in srt10 shifter seems stiff

Just test drove first srt10. Shifter seems really stiff and slow moving is this normal for stock shifter? Thanks for your help and input

Change that stock shifter and you have a whole new truck

No that's not normal ,mine has always shifted easily,even more so after changing to ATF

There are three bushings inside the transmission that the shift rail sit in. These bushings will be your problem, switching to ATF may help but if not the trans will have to come apart.

Make sure you clutch is properly bled also for full disengagement.

If your shifter is stiff even moving side to side in neutral, your troubles are the bushings I talked about in post 4. No clutch bleeeding, shifter replacement, etc will solve it dont waste your time doing that stuff.

I drove 100k miles on my stock shifter... Even when I rebuilt the trans it wasn't ever hard to shift...
