Hey Guys!
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later! I finally took the 'ol Dodge down to Fireturd for a few passes.
PHXPOOLGUY (Nice to meet you Rick!!) strongly suggested that I post up, so here goes..........
Truck: 2005, 28,000 miles, All stock except for K&N filter in stock airbox, BBK TB (No Tune) and the B&M shifter. Stock tires at 22 psi., truck weight w/ me and fuel - 5260 lbs. (Still under Factory Warranty)
Conditions: DA = 1,353 / 63 deg. F / 30.18 baro. / 20% humidity
Best pass: 2nd. pass... 13.40 @ 106.42 60 ft.: 2.148
Midtrack at the 1/8th: 8.725 @ 83.71
I only made 4 runs. 1st. was a nervous embarassment.... Intended to just drive it out easy and conked it out.... 60 ft. was 5.091 sec. !!!!
Still trapped 105 mph at 16.715.
3rd. pass was a 13.44 @ 106.20 with a 2.182 60 ft.
4th. pass? Well....it sucked. Pushed it too hard out passed 60 ft. mark and it went sideways, then missed third. So it is not worth the mention.
All passes are a struggle with traction at each shift. Rear end bucks and hops more than I expected due to the fact it does not act that way on the street at normal tire pressure.
If I could practice after re-bushing the rear end and get the 60ft. down a tenth or two, I think there is a 13.2 or even a 12.99 in her :dontknow:
Never dyno'd the truck. But I do suspect that it was a special one. My Carfax search revealed that it was set aside and Chysler Executive driven for the first 2 months and 2,000 miles of it's life. With that being said, I'm just curious about it's power output. The multiple websites that calculate horsepower put it anywhere from 458-488 RWHP:dontknow: . Seems high but possible with the trap speed over 106 mph (Uncorrected).
Now if I could just get the back end from bucking and hopping so hard...... oh Stinker!!?
