Congrats ;)

What air pressure were you running in the rears ? Drop them to 22-24 and it helps to launch a little harder.

No slicks available for 22's. There are some 18 DR's that will fit otherwise you will need to grind down a set of calipers to fit 16's (I just finished doing this) or swap out the rearend.

had it at 23 psi,,,,,,,so 18 will fit over our calibers?

18' and 17's will fit, if you go with 18 you can only get 1 24-25" slick(fine for 04's but 05's have 4.56's and they are close to running out of gear) with the 17's you can get a 29" tall and 12" wide.

Stick, I would still work on the street tire launches. You should be in the 1.8 to 1.9s with the Caltracs (at least).

My 60s were consistant at 2.0 with NO TRACTION mods on stock tires last year. I lower the rear pressure down to 18-20 psi. If you are still at 2.1 WITH Caltracs you're not getting a real good launch.

Great job with the "L"s though.

here ya go Stick, the above usually has good prices, I think NBT got his here.

and these are the DR's that Rice Eater is using.

otherwise, get a $10 grinder, alot of beer, and some bandaids:D

yup yup thems what I gots....you get better traction and a lower gearing from the shorter tire all in the same mod! Your MPH should go up w/ the shorter tire.

Fun running last night man! Next time we will have to run each other more so you won't get as many white slips :) Those wheels look good and if you got those and stalled it up you should grab and go! Your MPH was faster than all of the other trucks and you also has a passenger with you ever run, your truck had 8.3's in it no doubt last night. 8.5 @ 85 in that weather wasn't bad man, I run 8.3's normally at 85 and last night I was only able to trap 83.5 and run an 8.5. I didn't feel like I got a clean pass nor did the truck cool down on the first pass but our last run was awesome. Have fun and let me know when you want to go back to the track, i'll put on the 4lb and get a new plenum just for you :)

Stick lose the passengers.............no hitch hiking allowed at the track no matter how hot she is!!!!! You lost some time with her in there. Now dont tell us it was a dude............that really wouldnt be right!!! LOL

patrick

Not bad stick. Just work on those 60's to get them under 2.0!!

now I am wondering what I would run with Headers, drag radials, and a new tune
