Forums Always......

I echo all of the above comments...would like to add...that since I have added the Fang etching by HotRodMike to my sliding window, the requests for looks at the engine have become the first requests.

I always wanted to say "and it is supercharged, take a look at this..." but modesty prohibited it...but when they did finally ask to look under the hood, I could feel the pride welling up in me like a oil well gusher!

im only 17

Hell, I can't even remember being 17!

But I think that was in the day when all I needed to get wood was to move my eye lids.

And I think that I had to get up on my hands and knees to turn over in bed...

But those days are gone...enjoy...they don't last forever!

I get people that talk shit about my truck, I just OK maybe you might beat my truck, then I will run you with my car, and if you beat that I know atleast one of my motorcycles will get the job done.

Its a 5000 pound truck, and while it makes good power, the weight is always going to be its limiting factor.

I love my truck for what it is, and I am very happy with that.

i love this truck i would never let it leave my side i do alot of racing here in vegas most of them on the streets and i have stomped on many cars and trucks but theres always some one out there a bit faster than you thats wat makes me so determined to beast my truck up even more.....
as of now im one of the fastest at my school. my friend is the only one who can actually beat me he drives a acure integra gsr turbo boosting 18lbs of boost on DR's and i still a car n half lenghts behind him..................

Dont be a dumbass..take it to the track...Just read a story in my local paper where some 19 yr old got killed passing a car illegally, and got t boned by a school bus...He was speeding, racing his buddy...You have a 500hp truck that weighs about 5000lbs..the brakes are good, but will they stop you from being plastered all over the street?..do you really wanna take that chance?..

With the $$$ I spent on these two truckss , I could have bought a Viper
car! But I think these trucks are a lot safer in the event of an accident, besides My knees hit the steering wheel in a Viper!

+1 you have heard of penis envy? Truck envy

I knew a couple of lightning owners...those trucks are awesome performance wise but it still resembles an F150 to much. Vettes dime a dozen, Mustangs...great when your 20. Camaro's stoped looking good in 1970. Now If I could buy a Viper my truck would be gone, but I want to save up to have both. You can't drive any where and not be asked about it. If I wanted the fastest I would have bought an excellent condition 2000 vette and worked it. If you want something bad-azz you need an SRT10. plus reliability is great with vipers, you see guys with over 150,000 miles with minor problems. Bottom line...the truck is the best ever, no one can take that away!!! unless you get repo'd...lol

I had a 2004 L before i got my 2004 Ram SRT-10. Trust me, You made the right choice.

The L resembles an F-150 just as much as an SRT-10 looks like a Ram. It doesn't hurt to be objective. I would love to meet these people with Vipers with over 150k on the odometer that you speak of. You're a funny guy.

agreed +1

Yeah, but the NOS sticker on the fender....well...that says it all!

I've had more compliments in parking lots than I've had vehicles want to run me. Probably about 200:1. I'm still not used to complete strangers coming up to me out of the blue asking about the truck. I'm getting better, but...I don't think I'll ever get used to it. :)

A couple of weeks ago, I pull into the local convenience store to get a snack and a soda. Two guys in full painters gear see me walking back to the truck. They're giddy like little school girls being dared to talk to the cute boy in the grade above them. Okay, that's a bit off; they were extremely excited. These were obviously guys who 'worked' for a living, and could appreciate such a truck (don't get me wrong- I get a thrill from pulling it into a Mercedes or Jaguar dealership and watching the suits drool too).

The one guy asked, "Is that one of the Viper trucks?" I said that it was. He and his buddy freaked out with a ton of expletives and asked me about 5 min. worth of questions about the truck as they walked around it and eyed it up and down like the new dancer at the club.
The piece-de-resistance and everyone's favorite part: opening the hood. From the sounds they made, you'd think they both just went 8 seconds on Ol' Hellraiser. :)

Try that with something other than these trucks.

Gotta +1 on this.

I agree +1 I also love to pull up in a lot and explain about the truck to admirers, heck I'm grinningnow just reading this story. Most don't want to run it just admire. MY favorite when I went to pick up a client and his mom is a servie manager at a chevy dealer. One of the sales guys came out grinning and said "want to trade it in?" After that he shared "I want one of these too" :D :D

Bench racing has been around as long as there's been racing. Heck, I bet the Romans used to talk smack about the fastest chariot. I'll race someone from a light to the speed limit, but I save the hardcore stuff for the track. Anytime some punk wants to yak about how fast their "buddy's" car is, I just ask to see a time slip or tell them I'll see'em at the track. It is funny how they never show up or their cars never run as fast as they say they will.
