Since I live in a state that requires a front plate. Asking others who share the same misery on what they are doing about it. I bought my 10 from out of state that didnt not have to run a front plate. I really don't want to mount it on the front(ie. getting a plate bracket, drilling holes), but dont feel like getting pulled over all the time for it. Whats some clever ideas that have been done?

that hide a plate thingy:dontknow::rock:

or

there was photos on here that someone frenched in the front plate in the bumper cover. looked really sharp:rock::rock::rock:

the hide a plate is an idea, I dont want to get into modding or painting the front bumper.

MN has same front plate law and I put mine on the driver side dash so it visable and never had a problem for 5 years.....dont know how strict Ohio is

Hide a plate bracket is the way to go.... Im keeping my truck registered in florida so i dont have to do the front plate in maryland. Luckily i changed my legal residence to florida 6 years ago so i wouldnt have to pay state income taxes, and being im military i can keep my residency there, still not pay state tax, and keep re-registering my vehicle through the mail. As a result i dont have to worry about vehicle inspections either.

Ohio is pretty strict. They consider the plate in the windshield on the dash
"not properly mounted to the front of the vehicle"
tried that when I had my 99 Dakota Sport.

my Aunt and Uncle to the same with their Magnum RT, since they go back and forth for winter/summer.

Il eequires it. but like u the previous owner didnt have it. so i never did it. i got pulled over once. no ticket tho. i even told the officer i had no plans to drill holes in my bumper. he chuckled. wifes trailblazer doesnt have one eother. never been pulled over

Gotta have the front plate in TX (although I have never put one on my Porsche). The previous owner drilled a couple of holes in the front bumper that had no bearing on the factory location for a front plate. So I mounted my front plate using those holes. I actually like it just fine.

California requires a front plate also. Both my cars and my truck have NO front license plates and ive never been hastled...Whats the worse that will happen. You get a 20 dollar fix it ticket

The only thing I don't like is the cop pulls you over for the license plate then sees your dark tinted windows and tinted tail lights and says your exhaust is too loud. But I have been thinking of removing my front plate too.

You in MN?

I'm running w/o mine as long as I can, so far so good, about 5 yr's for me too. Another 13 and it won't be required under collector status. Definately will not be punching any holes in the bumper, ever! Put mine on pass side visor to flip down if needed for now.

I have my license plate attached with 4-mini suction cups to the passenger side of the windshield. No hassle in the 2yrs I've owned my truck. I attach the plate like OEM to pass the 2yr state inspection then it's back to business as usual.
