If you are only running them at the track who cares. Theres lots of people at Castrol that have different wheels on the back.

Let me know when you are going, my motor should be done in the next couple weeks and Ill go with you. Or Ill even take the wifes Jeep if mines not running yet.

I was just worried about the height of the front compared to the back. with 22's on the front and 17's on the back. Will I be looking up at the sky or do the drag radials make up for the height difference?

Oh and will rear drop shackles effect the tire size?

The M&H's are 2" shorter, I think I remember others saying that the lower tire height gave a advantage at the drag strip changing the gear ratio slightly so the RPM was more ideal when crossing the finish line. As far as I know no posts that I have read has any complaints about the overall height difference as far as looks or ride height.

Have you checked for any local tire shops that can get the M&H tires?

Ya I have all 3 tire shops in town giving me a price and a buddy of mine seeing if he can get them for cost. He is a sales man for remington tires. (I think that is still the name.)

Remington went broke. I had a account with them, we now use someone else but I forget the name. Ill check and see if I can get them tomorrow if I have time.

ya I think i new they went broke or something went wrong but he went somewhere not to sure where it was. Was quoted 250 per rim at one place. The tires seem to be the hard thing for people to find.

$250 isnt too bad, Summit wants $170 US, by the time they get here they would be at least $250. Check with Tom Nolan, Winners Choice Racing 403-350-7873. Hes from Lacombe, a part owner in Hopkins Construction, sells parts out of his garage.

Just checked with Trican tire (the old Remington I believe) they have never heard of M&H. I also asked about a 390-40-17 and they dont have anything like that, might be something we can only get direct from M&H.
