Best SRT Truck Year

I've got an 04, but I voted for the 05. The 04 is a great truck and I love it, but like anything, each year brings refinements to the model. I don't really like the 06 very much, the headlights make it look constipated and I like the interior in the 04-5 better. You couldn't run fast enough to give me a QC, nothing wrong with them, I just don't like them. I have 2 1st gen Lightnings, 1 93 & a 95 , while the 93 is really nice , the 95 is better, more refined, handles better, rides better, cd player and airbags. Same stock trucks. Come this Fall I'll be looking for an 05, Ce, YE or red one.

Hey Chrysler, put the 2011 6.1 Hemi in the an R/T RC shortwide, PLEASE!!!

04 rules:rock:

this pole is gonna be a little bit biased for the starter:D

I think 90% of viper truck owners is 05 owners:D

Thanks for all the input. Can you tow with a RC? I see the QC comes with a hitch but not the RC. I am buying one of these trucks for my company, the 'Halo' truck of the fleet if you will. People know me as the 'Viper Guy' with the GTS TT and RT/10 and looking to keep that persona with my company truck being an SRT10. So I will be putting daily miles on it and using it as a truck, not a 1/4 mile or dyno queen. Intake, headers, exhaust and tune are all that are in the cards for this one. With that being said and what I have read it looks like a 2006 QC is what I am looking for.
Originally thought a 05 or 06 RC but now that I see the 2006 is on a 2500 frame I am leaning more towards that way. Would benice to have a 6spd in the QC... but I can live with the auto. Now I knwo I am looking at sub 12MPG either way but does the 4spd Auto get far worse MPG than the 6spd? I would assume due to weight the QC gets at least 1MPG worse, but would like to hear what the local experts have to say on it. Any idea what the average MPG would be on the highway trips? Living in Texas 300 miles trips are frequent.

My QC averaged about 9 mpg, but I think my foot was in it most of the time hehe.

And I see that no one mentioned that the Supertank is on 05 QC.

i bought my 04 with the intentions of it being my reliable fuel efficient vacation driver and it is doing the trick....i can drive like 6 hours highway driving on one tank!

I'd go with the most room if its for the company...and towing is not an issue with these trucks.

Is there a bigger gas tank on the 05 QC's than the other trucks or something :dontknow: How big is the tank on the 05 QC?

I like 05 because of the interior and 04 didnt offer a qc...and I also just happen to own one lol

if you are doing the company thing , go with a QC and an 05, and to get the looks look up outnumbered, take a look at his an dthen make a decision;)
