GAS!!!

Welcome! I am averages 11.5 ish driving back and forth to the office which is a 9mi one way commute.. It will net 1-2 sprinted runs to 100 each way..

pay 88.00 a month on INS. 30 yo, clean record.

Got lucky on the insurance. It is listed as a 2005 Dodge Ram and I pay just over 50/month for very extreme levels of coverage. The insurance is cheaper than our 2000 Accord and 2000 Tundra.

I average 10.2 almost always. When I bought it it read 6.2 but I reset it, I guess thats what test drives will do to it:driver:

On my recent road trip to Rhode Island and back, I got everywhere from 15.8 to 18.1 (picture). It's my daily driver too, and around town, I'm getting around 13-14. MPG in the truck is about the same as my former Durango, but now I fill up on the good stuff.

A lead foot will easily keep that needle going counterclockwise. :)

I haven't a clue about insurance. She takes care of all that. :D

I'm not quite sure what I get as far as gas mileage cause I keep resetting my counter, the manual says you're supposed to every now and then, but, how often is too often??? If I go by what I've seen...about 7.5 but I"ve only been on the freeway once and I kinda have a lead foot since I bought this bad boy!!!!:D:D:D:D

Just for grins, reset it just as you hit WOT. Mine read 0.9 MPG!

well ive seen some pretty good gas mileage on the highway average at 18.5,but thats really babying it and taking it out of gear some. around town about 13.5 im surprised im getting these numbers.i had my old man riding around with me last time i was in just cruising and the comp.was saying about 26.0 mpg thats some bullcrap i think my comp. has a virus or something so i just use a calculator to figure the numbers. im with you on the insurance their ,but i got mine down to a buck 96 now and waiting for the policy to renew hopefully for a good drop.i have around 22,000 miles on the beast now.but she still screams and looks pretty good

First off, welcome to the forum.

Now with that said, I'm one of the don't know, don't care member in regard to gas mileage. If you were concerned about gas mileage what in the hell are you doing buying a 500hp, 505ci truck? You should have done a little more research prior to buying it. Not trying to be harsh, just stating facts as I see them.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum. I average 10.5-11.0 under normal driving. At the track I'm less then 5.0.

I average 10 to 11 something since installing the 4.88's. Premium is $3.80 here. USAA insurance, about $1k or so a year (I think). Was first listed as a Ram 1500 but the next year they listed it as SRT/10, but the premium didnt change.

If your really concerend about milage you might just want to put that computor on the temp function. Its a losing battle when you have a 505 cubic inch motor!!! LOL
