Gen 2 valve cover on a gen 3 motor?

Is it possible to run a set of gen 2 valve covers on our gen 3s? I'm tring to get a set of aluminum vavle covers but they are off a 98 gts.

no the bolt pattern is different

I know the bolt pattern is the same because all the valve cover spacers will fit all gens. The real question was whether there was enough room for the gen 3 rockers. it really matter now the valve covers I was looking at are sold.
