Here is a gen4 conversion done by my builder. And still in progress making 821bhp or 665rwhp. The end result will be damn near 900 bhp not to shabby for a NA build. This is also on a mustang dunno if you stick it on a dynojet you will get 6% to 8% higher readings. Most guys on here are using the dynojet "how ever you spell it". So for bragging rights on a dynojet it would make 878bhp the way it sits now. .

They are still working on it I can't wait for the final results on this beast. Should be insane.
 
A little over 20% drivetrain loss?:dontknow: I'd bet its closer to 750-760 at the flywheel, still great numbers but I think the 821 claim is a little exaggeration

Are the heads stock or ported? Will they release the flow numbers and the cam specs?

A Mustang dyno is a loaded dyno, unlike a DynoJet. This is the reason for the longer pull, it simply takes it longer to reach full engine RPM. This is why a Mustang is a much better "tuning" dyno.

Ported they flow over 360/370 i think he said.. And he will not release cam specs or other info... quote " I will not give away years of research to the competitors "

Drive train loss is 18/19% which they claim

You might get 18-19% on a car that has an automatic transmission. Viper cars have 11-12% loss, all day long.

Using 18/19% I would have a world record holding Roe Viper build, with a stock motor, lol.:chain:

That car is still making 740-750bhp. That's a nice NA build.

I thought it was well established that a factory RC loses about 19%?

There is no way your only gettin 11 12 % loss..


Either way 665rwhp, and going up, The goal is to brake 700rwhp... should be interesting...

No, how can one say the same identical drivelines lose different amounts of parasitic loss? Same engine, close enough to same tranny! I see 11% loss being accurate for an RC or Viper Car. Now an Automatic tranny QC I honestly see a true 20% loss through the 48RE.:dontknow:

Just the wheels alone make a huge difference, those 22's are real power soakers. I will offer you a solid example. A few weeks before I went to the last test and tune at Sacramento (see racing section). I went to Cal Speed here in Bakersfield to Dyno the truck. The truck was in street trim, but I loaded my 91-100 octane tune and had some VP MS109 fuel mixed in the tank. The truck dynoed at 544 RWHP (turning the factory 22" wheels with Kuhmo 325-40-22 tires, estimate about 90lbs each). A few weeks later I had Chris Jensen come up for a new race tune, using the VP MS109 fuel mix, and he tuned it on the same Dyno. The truck was in race trim (as we were going out to Famoso that night) so the truck had the M&H Cheater slicks with the 16x10 Bogarts on the back. The Bogarts with the M&H slick weigh 43lbs each, so there was a difference of 94 total lbs of rotating mass less than the time before. With the street 91 octane tune still in the truck , the Dyno read 566 rwhp.....a difference of 22 rwhp, mainly due to the weight of the rear tires and wheels. After tuning it made 578 rwhp on the MS109 mix. Granted , this dyno is a bit optimistic, it is not a Dynojet, but it is an in-ground dyno. Just for comparison , my last dyno session at DC Performance on their Dynojet, after we installed the JTS Venom TB we made 510 rwhp on the 91-100 tune, turning the stock 22's. This dyno in Bakersfield read 544 rwhp, same tune, same wheels.

The Dana 60 takes more power to turn, as does the long heavy driveshaft.

I'm certain that I have read a mild RC loses 19%, but I can't provide references to where I read it.
 
Several Viper car motors have been engine dyno'd, then installed and chassis dyno'd. 11-12% loss. Its fact, it ain't guesswork. Book it, lol.
