Getting my Truck

Hun aldri hadde nøklene, ble det tatt på baksiden av en bergingsbil. Det har aldri vært kjørt. Din norske er bedre enn min, jeg er engelsk ikke norsk.:)

WOW, that really sucks. Her not having the keys makes it worse. :dontknow:It's simply theft. Yeah I'm not Norwegian either; I'm pure American. I just spend a lot of time here in Stavanger because I am an electronics engineer for the oil industry.:D

Jeg klarer alltid å komme ned til stavanger hvert år, flere ganger normalt. Jeg har mange venner der nede, og min sønn elsker det også. Så jeg vil fortelle deg når vi kommer:burnout:

Yes, that will be great. We can hang out and have some Truborgs although I rarely drink. :beer:Men dette ville være en spesiell anledning.:D

Flinke dere var til å skrive norsk Venom Power og TMCNORWAY:) Var morro å lese litt norsk her inne på forumet, er jo ikkje akuratt så veldig mange fra Norge her.

It's not easy for me Passelat. But I try my best. :viking:What part of Norge are you from?

That is not bad writing man. I am from south Norway, top/heart of Setesdalen (Valle). It is almost 160km above Kristiansand. From Stavanger you have to go over Suleskar to come to Valle if you know where it is.

It's so beautiful in Norway I wouldn't mind driving anywhere here.

Hey guys,

Went to see my pride and joy yesterday, and all is looking good,
The battery is ruined and the surface rust on the disks is bad
other than that, its looking as good as ever.

It has been sat on a soft gravel and sand surface, so the tires
look fine (doesn't look like there will be any flat spots).

Checked all the fluids, all good, the oil is fine, its only run 5km
with the oil what is in there now. It has been changed 3 times
in the 100 or so miles its done before it went missing.

Put a start pack on the battery, and it fired up on the third attemp.
Sounds great and it ran perfect for 15 minutes before i shut it down.

I never moved it though.

I ordered a new battery, which I get on Friday - so Friday is the day
I get to drive it since last August.

I'm seriuosly syked and can't wait.

I am very greatful that is still in very good condition, just a new battery and probably some hard breaking to take away the surface rust, and also greatful to you guys for your support.
:)

Awesome.......

Good deal, nice truck you have there.

Glad to see others supporting the craftsmanship of good old JMB.

So tell us how you managed 17 psi out of a Paxton.

So tell us how you managed 17 psi out of a Paxton.

I was surprised myself with 17 PSI, it's actually 17.4 PSI
I was expecting only 13-14 PSI

see included image regarding the pulley setup.

The crank shaft pulley and S/C pulley were supplied by Justin at JMB
not sure where he had them machined - I think the S/C pulley was from
DC Performance and the Crank pulley from Stinker. Also the Blower Inlet
and Airbox was aquired by Justin (JMB) through DC Performance.

The belt is so tight, it litterally took 3 of us 2 hours to get it on,
this wasn't a good sign. And the failure of the Idler pulley was a sign
of the tightness.

There was way to much pressure on this pulley and it failed the first day
under light boost. It litterally just sheared off. We replaced with one which
I had machined here in Norway which was slighty reduced in diameter.
From then the belt was still very tight but was easier to put on.

There has been no slippage whatsoever, though the wear on the belt after so
few miles seems to much. Time will tell.

The next 50 miles the difference showed immensly, 17 PSI constantly, so
we tested the PSI with another more accurate external gauge it was
17.4 PSI constant under full throttle.

And after those 50 miles, well my truck dissapered, so the testing and
tuning will continue next week after I have got it back on Friday.

:)

I had them machined by ASP Racing, they can make any pulley you want:

Please see attached corrected image of the pulley setup,

showing the correct failed idler pulley.

Dette er utmerket nyheter. Jeg håpet at du ville få det tilbake$uten problemer. Nå sjekk at ingen annen blir deres hender på din lastebil. So, with that said, make sure you show it off as much as possible. The afternoon weather here has been gorgeous.:D

Thanks V. Power,

The truck is fine, I replaced the battery today, it came early, and all is good,
though there seems to be quite a bit of smoke coming from the cacth can breather,
I think this is normal though, as the rings probaby still havn't sat completely.

The brake disk surface's have all cleaned up nicely too, but still, there is
something wrong with the breaks, they are very spongey even after bleeding
them again - the stopping power just isn't there.

This is how it was after we installed them last August, there must be a
fluid leak somewhere, I couldn't locate it last year, nor today either.

But not to complaign everything else is absolutely fine.

I'm gonna fully service it over the weekend anyway and have a look again.
