Just thought I'd let you know in case you have any ideas. I have been redoing all of my interior of the Rx-7 and was having some serious problems finding anyone that would create molds for my interior pieces. So like any power hungry, mod loving fanatic, I ordered everything I need to create my own parts. I have been fiber glassing for awhile now and growing up my father was a body man, so I've been around the block. I have everything in except for the actual carbon fiber(twill) because it was damaged on the first shipment. I'm only going to do small parts for now due to having no space. Should be moving into the house next year and I plan on making molds for everything on the truck. I really want to see how light I can make it. I've been thinking about selling the Rx-7 and buying another SRT-10 so I'll have the donor car right there.
Even the places I could convince to make some parts only want to do what I would consider sloppy work. They wanted 1 layer of CF and the rest fiberglass, which is what 99.9% of the companies out there sell. I ordered a whole vacuum system and all high quality materials(you get what you pay for right?)
Anyway, just seeing what would be cool to make molds for in our trucks?
