Made an appointment to have:
1) Front bumper repainted
2) Fiberflass tonneau repainted and stock wing remounted
3) Install a boatload of JMB powdercoated parts (CAI, Intake Manifold, Valve Covers, radiator & fusebox cover - all painted in gloss red with clear coat) along with MSD red plug wires.
I managed to "curb" my front bumper and give it a few scratches on the drivers side. It always bugged me. I'm sure I'm the only one that would ever notice it. I had a few very minor chips in the front bumper too.. So it will be like new.
The original paint job on the Gem-Top tonneau was crap. Looks like they used Maaco or something. The paint is so thin it can't be polished out. Having it competely refinished.
When I got the tonneau, I drilled holes directly into it to mount the wing. My job was ok at best. I'm having the body shop remount it flush...
After all this is done, the truck should be ready to win some shows this summer.
Pix to follow in a few weeks.
