good new for 05's brake pads!!

I dropped the truck off for an oil change/tire rotation this morning. I also told my service guy that the brakes wer out of control squealing when I stopped each time. They just called me back to come pick her up. But, the good part is Dodge made an upgrade on the pads for the 05 SRT's because of excess brake dust, and noise, and its COVERED UNDER WARRENTY. Its 12mo/12,000mi on all pads. So he ordered them for me.

So for all you 05's that are experiencing loud brakes/excess dust take it to the dealer and get it checked as long as you fall in the 12mo/12,000mi then they have to replaced them!

damn bro, just missed it huh? Replacement pads arent expensive though. So you live in White PLains, MD? Im moving to Indian Head, MD this week. Small world...mayb we can get some GTG's and cruise around

i will be having the new pads installed on my truck next week. as for what the pad is made of i am having trouble finding out this. i still dont think they are ceramic. we will know soon enough.

any update on the warranty brake issue/upgrade. I am so glad i found this post i have had my truck in 2x now for oil change and tire handling and have mentioned the abnormal amount of brake dust to me but I am a recently new owner of the truck and dont know how brakes should perform at norm. driving. I am sure the ceramics would be a sweet replacement and i am so tired of my truck being spotless driving to dinner and back and rims are black. Its like you have to wash the rims 10:1 to the truck. So any good news.
ps. any other recall or whatever you want to call it on the 05. I bought mine new in august 06 from dealer in Indy. so all is under warr. have around 3k miles now.

i have a 04 rc and the pads are IDENTICAL to a 01 2500 ram. i got a set of ceramics and they perform better and leave almost no dust!!

i did have mine changed with the factory pads still brake dust. if i was to pay for a set i would get the ECB or ever auto zone performance frictions..

I have the yellows, there good pads and stop great w/ no dust. They do like to get nice and hot though before they start working good...
