Okay guys I had to bring this up. To start off with my odometer currently reads 31925 and I still have the stock clutch. Yesterday I was on the freeway on the way back from work. I remember down shifting to 4th to pick up speed to get around some slow movers before getting off the freeway. Well, when I tried to get her back into 5th it would grind a bit. I noticed I couldn’t get it back into 4th. So I put it in neutral and let her coast off the freeway. When I slowed to about 10 mph I was able to put her in 1st and go through all the gears just fine. Also, there have been a couple times in the recent past where the truck would fall out of either first gear just at take off or reverse. I already KNOW the clutch has to be changed… Boomer has it on the way. But would anyone say that either my transmission or slave cylinder are going bad? If it’s the tranny then I can just take it to the stealership under warranty and have them install the clutch with all the bells and whistles. Has anyone seen these issues with theirs?:dontknow:

mine is a bastard to get into second, even with the x-metal shifter, and I've had it pop out of gear on multiple occasions. and I only have 3300 miles on it, and it has brand new royal purple tranny fluid in it too!

First, let me say you have an awesome looking truck. Silver is my favorite truck color. Sounds like your clutch is not working properly. That's what it does, allow you to shift from one gear to another. But you knew this already. Good luck my friend.

The dealership said it's all due to clutch wear. With 31000 plus miles on it I should expect for that to occur.. But the clutch is currently being replaced so we'll see..

Remove the shift boot and retighten your bolts going from the shifter to the tranny.

I have all the upgrades including fluids and nothing worked until I did that.

Loosen the bolts a little beat the crap out of the shifter by going from 1st to 2nd mulitple times and retighten. Ive also heard of the plastic cup the holds the ball of the shifter to be broken or missing. Pull the shifter assy and check it.

tony, do they have all of the stuff we sent you? let me know what you think when you get her back!

No doubt Gary. I didn't expect a Saturday delivery so I am hoping for Monday or Tuesday to see the TB. I forgot to talk to you about flashing an extra PCM I have laying around.

I recently replaced my shifter to an X-Metal one Dominick.. There are no loose bolts and the plastic cup isn't broken or missing. I will see what happens after the clutch and other items are upgraded.
