So, driving to work today... minding my own business.. guy pulls up in the outside lane (which is blocked 200 feet ahead by parked cars).. he's sticking back so I KNOW he's going to pass me when the light turns green.... seeing he's got very little room I let him go by <I don't want an accident>....

I catch up to him at the next light(obeying the speed limit) <now we're both in the outside lane blocked by a semi @ 300 feet ahead>.... I get a good look... says ROUSH Stage 1... I think to myself... stage 1??? wtf kinda girly car is this ??<shrug>

I'm hoping at this point that he takes off and doesn't try to stick me behind the car next to him (which is of course what I would've done if I was in front:p )... no he mashes it... I mash it... and we're off... easily clearing all the cars... the guy pulls one .... two.... three probably 4 car lenghts on me...

so, Kudo's to the Roush... he just walked a 170hp totally stock mini cooper S :D ... I'm impressed :D
 
he would have still beat you because you have a QC:p :p :p :p :p :p :p


but he and you would really beat me because all i own is a beat up 1990 ford 4x4

i was thinking, if you were in the tank... there would be a lot of wheelspin on the street if you mashed it. :D

yeah I've tried that... it goes nowhere... leaves a nice signature though... right around half throttle for about a second then you can progressively start pushing a little further thanks to the caltracs:)

this of course is assuming that the bottle is not turned on.... :>

I was only 5 miles over the speed limit by the time he was 4 cars in front me.... which is where I woulda cut off in the tank anyway.... no sense driving over 50 in a 45 in morning traffic....;)

I was gonna say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Because I recall taking a Roush a couple years ago and it definately wasn't hard. You just scared the hell outta me tho.
