We'll folks I was sitting in major traffic last Tuesday and talking on the phone like i usually do to pass the time when I pull up about fifteen feet and stop then would you know it my head snaps back and I hear an ugly crunch:(

Seems some guy in a mini van didn't see my huge red truck stop in front of him and he plowed right into me going about 3 mph. He got out first because I was trying to calm myself down and asked if I was ok. Of course I was, I was much more worried about what he did to my girl then anything. I did take a look at things and it seems that he did do some minor damage to my bumper and hitch cover, so i wasn't to worried. I parked the truck for two days and drove my X5 and then looked at the bumper again. Wouldn't you know it the paint job is completely ruined on the bumper. I guess it took a day or two for the paint to crack on the bumper. So after spending about 30 minutes on the phone with USAA i have to take the girl to the local body shop for a check up. Glad I got all his info at the scene of the crime. So next week I'm going to be without my girl while they fix her up.

The really odd thing that got me pissed was the only damage he seemed to have was a large oval black mark from my exhaust pipe and a little damage to his temporary tag on the front of his crappy mini van.

Well I feel a little better now that I got to vent. My wife doesn't understand why I am so upset. I have a backup sensor and tailgate light that I'm worried might be screwed up a little. Plus I really am not looking forward to walking out next week and not seeing my girl sitting in the driveway.

Well I do feel better now. Hope all of you had an accident free week:)

that sucks just glad you are ok and truck isn't damaged to bad

I feel your pain. My wife was rear ended earlier this year and I was hit last weekend. We were on the off ramp from I-10. While the cop was giving the other driver a field sobriety test I watched a pile up happen on the interstate.

I know it hurts........ But it's just plastic and paint....and he hopefully has insurance.

Glad yer not hurt...

It is just plastic and paint for sure:) He does have insurance, but I'd pay to get her fixed if he didn't...

Thanks to everyone for the kind words:)
