Fellas it has come to my attention that some bogus numbers have been put out to members of this forum, and this doesnt set too well with me:mad:

If you are gonna make claims about products , at least back them up with reality.

So to respond to this, lets start this thread to help those that want mods.

but please if you post results of your mods, and have a dyno sheet to back it up please post it also, so that people may see it is actually true.

Nowwhat you are not allowed here:p :p only in the paxton section:D you my buddy you know that:dancing:

Ok too many buds:D

but anyway lets get real numbers for people please

Headers, magnaflow with cats? without? and install price or how hard it was.

Paxton and paxton only, hp increase and install price?

Roe supercharger hp increase and install price?

catless mids? where to get them?

Air intakes? we know they realy dont give us much hp, but how much and how hard to install?

And nitrous, what kits have been installed , how well they work, and what pcm is best.

and the good ol PCM flash, never really seen a dyno with just a flash so , maybe seat of pants feel, where it was purchased how much?

I know some answers may step on toes, but I think things must come out, its for the good of our members, and its good for competition between vendors.

This way new members can get a feel for what they are going to get for there money, also the best place to buy.

Plus with as many members as we have , especially our senoir members that have seen and heard it all, our new members will not have to worry about buying headers and getting 100hp, or a paxton and being promised 300hp.

also it will give members an idea of how hard an install was, or where the best place to get it installed or an idea of what it will cost without getting reamed.

So please if ya like post up what ya got, how much it gave ya, if you or someone else installed, and how happy or unhappy( and please post up if you were unhappy it really helps others) you were with the outcome.

I'll start

twins by pro turbo, cost $9000, very unhappy withservice, you pay for it up front, takes 6 months to get.

they leave out what you will really need, injectors, pump so on.

had to do most myself, install fuel system, clutch. Pretty much a pain to do with no help.

underground came to my rescue, great couple of guys, (if you can get ahold of them:D )

KC did my tuning, went way out of the way to make sure it was right cost $1500 tune which included 108 dyno pulls and C-16

Installation Scale (1= opening the gas cap; 10= full engine rebuild)

-JMB CAI and Catch Can.
Cost: $360. MSRP
Installation: 2
HP gain: Debatable.
Result: Happy.

-Magnaflow catback exhaust system
Cost: approx. $400
Installation: 3
HP gain: about 5HP
Result: Happy.

-JetHot coating (stock exhaust manifolds)
Cost: approx. $400 w/shipping
Installation: 3
HP gain: Unsure, but manifold temps reduced by 40-50%.
Result: Very Happy.

I've given up on the hp issue, as the hp/1/4 mile ratio makes absolutley no sense with our trucks. For example, a Lightning with 600rwhp runs 10's all day long; yet it takes 800+ to do it in a RC.:hmmmm2: Likewise, a Harley Truck that makes 550 at the wheels, and weighs 5400lbs can run high 11's. I quit trying to understand. But you are absolutely right; there is no way I'm believing some of the hp claims on this board.

Roe Twin Screw Top Mount cost about $6000

Net HP gain= 151.94 rwhp

Is it possible to install and tune a Roe without a Dyno?

Prof....that I believe! Seems very reasonable.

Gained 44 rwhp by having Joe Donovan add a VEC3 and tune my current setup prior to water/meth.

Then, adding a 50/50 mix of water/meth injection and dyno tuning the truck (more aggressive timing) Joe Donovan at PBJ gained an additional 30 rwhp/7 rwtq

http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9491&page=5

Heres a link to the dyno numbers with the truck just off the trailer (so to speak) then after Joe completed the tune with the water/meth a few days later.

Happy as a school girl, now I just need to get the power to the ground and rip off a great 1/4 mile time :burnout:

Good Thread Stinker......

Zex Standard Truck Kit. Cheapest place I found to purchase is www.newlevelmotorsports.com at $540. Install was fairly straight forward with basic plumbing and wiring. HP adjustable from 55hp-250hp with this kit.

SOTP feel is very noticable. Never got it on a dyno but 1/4 mile times dropped almost a full second on a 150 shot. Still running stock PCM.

:D

It's been so long since I've done any performance mods, I don't even remember the costs and I'm too lazy to dig up the receipts, but here's my dyno with the mods in my signature (except my sig says I have catless mids which is a lie, they're still laying in the garage)... I did all the installation myself, I probably have $2500-$3000 in performance parts on the truck (so far)...

This is great guys!!

now this can include lowering kits, and jsut about any mod you have done.

how you were treated, good or bad, and if you were happy or not.

I will however ask the mods to watch the thread, the only hting I fear is if someone says so and so sucks then the battle may begin.

I think it should be said if someone is unhappy or happy, but the issue can be resolved in another thread this one is for all of us to enjoy an learn from:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
