I went down to GLD today with Brad and Don. I did a couple runs at low boost and got 11.93.

Then we went up to 13 pounds of boost and got

11.003 @ 124Mph:rock:

Woo hoo

Then I wanted to see if I could get the number again. I was well on my way having 99.5 MPH at 1/8 mile then I lost my head gasket........:(

So needless to say we are done for while but at least I got a good number..

Paul

Well I guess this is one of those Congratulations, and Condolences posts.

Congratulations on running some nice times, and sorry about blowing the head gasket.

As long as you have the heads off, you might want to consider getting them O-Ringed. Does wonders for containing the cylinder pressures without blowing the head gaskets. On other vehicles I have run up to 40 pounds of boost without any blown head gaskets.

Just out of curiousity, what were running for tires?

I have he M+H tires and eagle alloy rims that fit over the stock rear brakes. These tires do a very nice job. They hooked up really well.
I am hoping that it is only the gasket and not a groove or something..... wish me luck and any advise.....

congrats about the run sorry to hear about the motor issues

I agree with Tony. This would be the perfect time to get the Strikers.

You will also get to check the rods and pistons that Hennessey put in...

Paul your machine is set to become one of the fastest trucks in the country...the Strikers will be a great addition.

Damn Paul, the 1.81 sixty foot is wonderful!

This is a potential record holding machine...good luck with the head gasket...

Thanks Prof

You still up for racing yours in October? Needless to say my truck won't be there but I might still bring the Mustang down.

Yes!

I'll dust off the slicks and see if I can find my helmet.

Roy

P.S. Did you notice that we have another Venom 1000 on the forum now? In Florida.
