Are we talking about legal immigrants or illegal immigrants (whether they be Mexican, German, Canadian or WTF cares? ..
I know alot of "Mexican" Americans (to me that is an oxymoron because you are either Mexican or American so how can you be both anyways??) that are very successful, make lots of money, drive nice cars, etc. The difference with them (or any legal immigrant) is they are here LEGALLY and they WANT to be here and be an AMERICAN.
The illegal immigrants that I have a problem with (no matter where they hail from) are the ones who come to OUR county, then push THEIR language and cultural beliefs on US. If they take the time to immigrate here why would they want to change everything about it? The ONLY reason for it I can see is the OBVIOUS - They like our Government and its benefits but not our Country and what it stands for.
Done now, sorry, just had to clarify that I AGREE WITH THEODORE ROOSEVELT again and I think I will forever ...............

It shouldn't even be that way. With all the different contries I have traveled too. It was always my responsibility to understand the laws of that country. There was no oops factor or for that matter a viable excuse.
Our law makers are pussies and I'm sure as hell not talking about the loveable, huggable kind.

What is happening is that immigrants come here...have children who are then U.S. citizens with the right to vote...they exercise that right and elect officials that believe what they believe and in turn the laws change.

The degree to which you are an American, cannot be determined by a title. It can only be measured by the individuals heart. We have many different nationally mixed men and women fighting and dieing for our country as we speak. They are Americans.
I do not believe in opening our borders. They need to be regulated and those that enter need to pay their dues (taxes). The USA does not have the resources to be able to take care of everyone that would want to be here. We are having a hard enough time now.

Once again, the minority has the louder voice and the majority is too lazy, pussified, whatever to do anything about it. The cause of that being political correctness. We are afraid to hurt someone's feelings, which should never be considered when making decisions for the greater good, not necessarily the individual. With fewer and fewer Americans voting, the majority system fails more and more everyday. I fear for my grandchildren that they will not experience the American dream because a few people are ruining what our founding fathers created.
