What is the thickness of our stock gaskets? Also, what's the thickness of gen 4 gaskets and Cometic gaskets? What will these different gaskets equate to for compression and what is recommended? Thanks

I don't know what you're talking about Chris... Lol! Probably going to turn into a winter project. I'm anxious but I hate to take her apart now, fall is my favorite season to run the old girl.

I thought winter was for bulking, not working on SRT10's, LOL.

I would be all over putting a cam in mine, as well as a bunch of other stuff. But I promised myself I wouldn't mod the truck until it was paid off.

I promised myself the same thing.......now that it is the mods I want are more than I can "justify" to the boss lady LOL........although she thinks a procharger on her durango is a necessity. :dontknow:

Yes! You bring combustion chamber closer to piston, therefore bumping compression ratio. Been common mod since engines were raced. :rock:

You can get cosmetic MLS gaskets from .020-.090 thick. Ours are about .054 stock. You can gain over .5 bump in compression from a thinner gasket set.
