A buddy of mine retro fitted a part of Acura TL Bi-level xenon projectors into a set of ram headlights. He did all the wiring and it looks pretty standard. Like from a kit.

I wired everything up and the lights work!

A couple of issues though.

The headlights are on highbeam- but the gauge cluster says low beam- and vice versa.

There is also a warning light in the dash that says "headlamp out"

Anyone have experience with this stuff?
 
He wired it wrong. Reverse the highest beam and low beam... bam nigga... and why would you use acura tl projectors. They are not that good. You could have gotten Morimoto projectors pretty cheap.. just fyi.

The "headlamp out" warning will probably be solved with a set of load resistors.

They are bi-level xenon projectors and the price was free :)

Hmmm. I'm not sure how to do that wiring.

Simple, see what wire gives power on low beam only, which wire gives power on high beam only, and switch them. Done deal

There is a big plug that goes into the projector and then there are 2 wires that come out of the headlight housing and on the kit that plug says "highbeam".

There aren't any other wires to switch. The bi-level xenon has an actual reflector inside the projector that moves for high and low beams. Id have to crack open the headlight and switch stuff around I guess.

Something I am not willing to do.

Is there a way to reverse the high/low beam switch on the stalk on the steering wheel?

Also,

There are five of these blue boxes the size of an egg or so that are grounded and they are part of the harness. There is a silver box that all the wires go into- and then there are the 2 ballast boxes.

Got me then man. I'd assume it's labeled wrong where it says "high beam"? Good luck sounds like it'll be bright.
I'm unhappy with my HIDs brightness, not whiteness. Loved my SilverStars and may go back honestly
 
Drove it at night for the first time... WOW. Amazing lighting. Can never go back to the factory lights.
 
Haha I bet. We put a led lightbar on the girls Jeep and holy crap! You can see the future it's so bright! You can't even tell her headlight are on or off:rofl:
 
Yeah. I have 2 options.

1. figure out how to reverse the high beams so that they are not backwards.

2. do nothing and put a piece of black tape over the "high beam" light.

Decisions decisions....

Its sick though. I am looking into the back seats of everyone I am behind and the fogs are on with the highs lol.

He doesn't have an SRT10

He likely didn't have anything to test the -hi/low setup other than giving power and making sure everything worked alright. He's extremely meticulous. The issue is that he lives in Washington state, and is hardly home. That's why they took 8 months to build.

I'm not complaining. I am thrilled to have xenon lights on the truck. Just have a hiccup to deal with.

He's big in the imports. He has a couple wicked Evo's
