Help 04-06 front conversion

Headlights and fenders bolted up just fine. Now I have had hell with the front bumper. I got an oem 06 front bumper part #5030013ac and side bumper verticle brackets to attach front cover part #'s 55077374ad and 55077375ad. Tomarrow I'll get the horizontal top pads for sides. Well I take my old ones off and put new ones on and the bumper holes don't line up with bracket holes. Once again I've had horrible luck with dealers helping and the photo they faxed me of parts is generic and doesn't help. I was told there is a filler piece but it doesn't help with mounting. But ordered it anyways to look at. I know there is a belly pan/skid plate but it's not necessary to have "I think". Please y'all what am I doing wrong?!!!!

I have no idea what you are doing wrong but I do know you are doing the right thing replacing the 04 front with the much, much, much, better looking 06.......seems like a couple have done this here so maybe they will chime in...

The frames for the 04's and 06's are different -- this may be the reason the 06 bumper mounts don't line up with the 04 frame mounts. I am not sure if you can or if it wise to drill out holes so the 06 bumper can mount up. Just a thought though...

The 06 front bumper mount is welded to the frame and I belive the 04-05 mount bolts to the frame.

You may have to fab your own mount.

Or have you tried mounting the 06 bumper cover over the 04-05 bumper.:dontknow:

you can use the 04 sport bumper to mount your o6 srt-10 bumper you will have to fab some thick plastic side peices to cover the gaps. attach the plastic peices to the inside fender i did a 04-06 conversion on my hemi quad cab viper clone. now i just need paint or vinyl wrap. i ended up using a sport 06 bumper instead of a srt-10 it just ended up more economical for me to use. good luck the conversion is easy. but i warn you after i did mine i wish i kept it 04.

I had my 03 changed to an 07 front but my buddy owns a paint and body shop! I know the radiator bracket as well as all other front brackets were changed! I might have the invoice with all the parts numbers he ordered to do it still!
