Okay, you guys probably seen I posted 20-60 videos with not very good results IMO. As I said before truck is parked and cant get to a dyno or track. I know it's tough to tell anything without dynoing... but I think I am without a doubt slightly slower then a 'normal' stock truck. A member from the SRT 10 Forum did a video for me with a 50-70mph pull. His was barely two seconds and my truck is over 3. Only difference is his is an 05 and mines an 06. Both RC. Also my truck will do 20-60 in just under 5 seconds, which should be the 0-60 time.

Also most guys are saying when going WOT in first at most speeds they can break the tires loose instantly... as I cannot. Especially with temps below zero i think this truck should fly.

I've heard of cam issues causing low horsepower, rings not seating, TPS sensor, clogged cats, plugs...

Truck is completely stock besides volant CAI. 12,000 miles. New clutch. Runs great otherwise.

Where do I start? Anything I can check right now as I can't get to a dyno?

When you rev the engine under no load is it slow to return to idle. If it is replace your TPS and it will come back to life..

i don't know what would be considered 'slow'... so cant really say!? i'll go take a quick vid..

what is considered a slow return to idle? i have an 06 rc as well, and have some of the same issues. i figured 400 plus hp to the wheels on a truck should break loss romping on it in first, the only way mine does it is if the tires are wet lol. the cam issues were with the 04s isnt it? personaly, my truck feels ok, but just doesnt feel right. i have only had mine for a couple months, and it has felt the same since i purchased it.

My symptoms of a bad TPS were that when the truck was hot, when you came up to a red light, the RPM's would drop slow (maybe 4-5 secs) or hang up around 2k for a few seconds.
This was also with an Xmetal TB. It also did it with a tune and when put back to stock.

Also guys, remember the 06's are heavier = slower. Not sure about the gearing being different.

I know they are slower... but that seems like way to big of a difference.

Here's my truck... WOT. Notice 50-70

Then here's a stock 05...

Seems too big of a difference to me. Don't get me wrong... my truck pulls pretty good. I Didn't even think power was an issue untill I came across this video... this truck moves!

Somethings up when you shifted around 20 secs :dontknow:

Maybe not, the other video does it also. Gonna have to take mine out now and see. Seemed like a lag

I think he's referring to either wheel hop and or wheel spin before going into the next gear :dontknow:

Both of them looked like they did the same thing. When they both got around 50, they lagged for a sec then started climbing. Guess the tires were spinning some then grabbed. :dontknow:

I'd hope that's normal on these trucks...

ANYWAYS...

Cold start. Also is that 'whine' sound normal with 10's?

Warm engine. I can see the idle hang a slight bit every other rev around 1000rpm... normal?

Seems normal to me :dontknow:

BTW, open your garage door when you start that thing. Little thing known as carbon monoxide.

Had water buildup in front of my overhead door when it was nice out... now it froze my door to the ground. Back man door was open ;)

The only difference I saw in the first two videos's that stuck out for me was the RPM's, the second one seems to react faster, got to 6k where the first one seemed a lot slower, not very crisp and didn't look as if it got to 6k

but then, what do I know

At 43 second mark in your first video on this page, your RPM's are the same but the sound changes... that the whine you are talking about? Anyone else hear this? That just doesn't sound right to me..

I noticed that aswell... assumed it was coming off of the 'cold start' cycle or something?? It idled down a bit aswell.

Your throttle does not seem to be hanging. Mine did when we put the BBK on. Made a slight adjustment, it's fine now.
If you can bring your truck over here, when the weather is better, we will figure it out for you.
My truck was a pain in the butt to figure out, but we may have a common issue.
