My truck has been sitting over a year, before I parked it, it started wanting to rev up slowly by itself or stayed rev up and didn't want to idle down. Now the truck has been sitting over a year and it won't start. It turns over but won't crank. If anyone has any idea where I can start I'd appreciate the help.
The "not wanting to idle down part" is normally a bad Throttle Position Sensor, particularly when they get wet, but is likely a separate issue to not starting. Turning over IS Cranking (means the same thing). The not starting could be a bad camshaft sensor. Have someone hook a code reader into your OBD II port to find out what fault codes are being generated.
i suppouse cranshaft position sensor, its not a TPS because it will start even without tps on the throttle
