HELP!....

ok guys...well i guess i'v done it this time....tonight while playing aorund on the interstate with a SRT-8 and an RSX7.... i think i broke something..sounds like a very strong ticking noise....very very strong...i can't feel it threw the gear shift....when i'm under the truck.. it sounds like it's coming from the bellhouseing but when poping the hood and listening there it sounds kinda like the lifters normally do but on the passanger side it's a very pronounced ticking a very loud ticking...any clues?... i have video of it but i cannot post it cause i can't get to my email...can i send it to some one to post?

Any smoke from the tail pipe? Anything leaking? Is the sound constant or does it dissipate once the engine is warmed up?

its a very comstent..it also goes up with the rpms....when you give it gas..it speeds up with the motor......no leaking that i can see.. an its to dark to see if shes smoking....iv got a 45 mile drive back home from my gfs house... i got the drive train warrenty..just dont want to blow it up an get stranded

no i was not..spraying..i havnt sprayed the truck in 4 or 5 months.....iv got a sound clip...can i send it to some 1's email and can you post it for me please..id do it..but im at my gf's house posting on my phone

Do you see any metal shavings on your dipstick (engine) or is the oil a funny (odd) color?

yes i did beat the srt8 jeep only on top in tho......but back to the point anybody else got a clue?....im going to un install all the nitrous stuff...later this week then i guess take it to the dealership...any clues as to whats wrong with it tho?

did you miss a shift? bent pushrod maybe?

Might be a cracked exhaust manifold or bad leak from around there. You can cover your exhaust tips and see if it gets louder or changes pitch.

It was hard to tell from the sound clip, but it sounded like it was at crank speed, not cam speed. That's not good.

did not miss a shift i did run the truck up pretty high in the rmp range close to redline a few times......it re'ly doesnt sound like the exhaust......sounds more like a metal to metal sound..the first part of the video is at the engine compartment...2nd part where it gets louder is close to the bellhouseing under the truck on the driver side

Could be really serious Pistons are known to be weak in these trucks along with rods
