Here's what I do on weekends.

Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone or be a wedding party pooper, but IMO marriages these days aren't really worth the $50k for a reception alone.. Not like they were in the old days. I even thought $10k with everything out the door was too much. Weddings have become more commercialized like Christmas... Just a money making event for other people (photograpers, caterers, planners, designers, florists, taylors, tux rentals)... Meanwhile, a newly married couple lasts for how long? :dontknow: 10 years maybe? No thanks, I'll just raise my daughter and stay married to my SRTs..

Our Marriage on the beach: $200
Reception: $300
Marrying at Aliso Creek Beach, and partying at my wife's Granpa Villa in Laguna Beach: PRICELESS

that was August 2001

Pic taken while "ironing" my wedding shirt!

exactly... my kind of girl

My wife and I called our friends and family on a Wednesday morning, and had them meet us at the house that evening. We had our pastor marry us in a small ceremony that night. You really know who's going to be there for you when things are tough when they show up on short notice without asking ANY questions.
Marriage License: $50
Pastor: $100 donation
BBQ and Beer: $200
No wedding dress, no bridesmaids, no tuxes, no groomsmen.:girlshit: :girlshit: :girlshit: :girlshit:

That's an awesome rig Brad!!

How many people have you clocked with the arm on that crane? Haha! Looks like you came close at 1:22!!!

Well it depends on if they promise to leave a tip or not. Never clocked anyone yet but on cam it looks close.

My nephew shoots indie films and I built him a crane. Nothing as sophisticated as your rig but it was fairly inexpensive and does what he needs. He would absolutely flip if he could use your setup.

btw, great job Brad....when was the wedding?

Americans are not really into the whole marriage thing these days, but luckily for Brad there are plenty of wealthy Persians and other cultures that enjoy marriages.

does he still has his truck in your house???

Very cool... :)

And we are spending 14k on our wedding... LOTS of people to feed, so we needed a big venue.

Personally, I would have just wanted a beach wedding and a weekend at Prof's house in Marathon. :dontknow:
