HID retrofit build

So I built a set of lights. Retrofitting projectors and HIDs into a set of SpecD tuning headlights I bought. Bought all my parts from theretrofitsource. They are badass!! The light output is a tremendous over stock. It was a somewhat tedious project but worth it in the end.

Test fire alignment and cutoff line.

Reassembled with shrouds.

Now the lens seemed to affect the cutoff after reassembly and blur the line it’s not as crisp. And the damn alignment is off easy to fix though. I’m pretty sure the blurred line is being caused by the bubble in the lens in front of the headlight bowl.

Nice looks like mine. Had a buddy of mine install some Acura TL Bi-level xenos in my headlight. Hard to go back to halogen.

Thanks.. your probably blinding everybody with just LED bulbs in those headlights.

Looks good. I did the same thing. People at the retrofit source are awesome. And to say its tedious.... well, thats just an understatement.

Why not buy the headlights already done with hid's and the kit for less money? You did an awesome job and good job doing it yourself

Junk projectors probably designed for halogen bulbs.. I've looked at those before. I have a way better product then that. And whats the fun in just buying them.

I don't have those exact ones but i bought mine and hid fog lights for less than 500. No issues with them since i bought them. I do agree on doing things yourself makes you take more pride in your vehicle like when i did a port and polish job on my heads and intake myself
