patrick

Thanks Patrick :D

I recommend the B&B w/HF cats.. Picked up 18-19rwhp and 30ft lbs. If you are doing a custom mid set up at an exhaust shop, then recommend the Magnaflow HF's.

Dont use the stock pipes......

Does anyony know the cfm of a stock cat and the magna flow cat? magna flow won't give out that info.

Careful there, different manufacturers flow at different pressures so the data may become meaningless for comparison purposes.

So far I have found that the Magnaflow 3" flow a little over 500 cfm.

Random tech 3" flows 617 cfm.

I know alot of you keep saying go catless. I will not go catless. It stinks without a cat. It's a $2500 fine if you get caught without one. And because this is California. we a restricted to what we can and cannot do. We are not even suppose to touch the cats here. Unless it's damaged, missing, etc... And if thats the situation you need to have a proof and go through the right channels to be legal. Not to mention finding someone here that will do it for you. If a shop does this for you and they get busted. $10k fine if not more. Things are a bit more serious here. One that note. It's rumored that there are infared sensors along some freeways that will detect and report your vehicle. Rumor to me. So take it with a grain of salt.

Dont get us wrong, we are all just a bunch of power junkies. I understand the law in your state and removing cats is a federal no no too. Do what your comfortable with. :burnout:

Well shit, in that case go 4" straight pipes right off the engine block!

yeah and NY unforchantly is trying to catch up to ca on how strict they are about cats plus my other thought on the matter is within 1-2 years planning on twin turbo's and i know i need back pressure don't want to remove the cats only to have to put them back on afterwards for the turbo's trying to prevent as much double work as i can possibly do reason not replacing heads now probably will just do exhaust and debating the high flow cats.

I beleive JMB Justin sells mids with high flow cats already welded in them. This would be a bolt on set up for you. You might try PM'ing him for more info.;)
