i replaced my tps today, did not unplug the battery, i will try this, this evening.

same symptoms when i did it "the wrong way".

You might also need to have your dealer calberate the TPS with their StarScan.....I know my dealer did when I installed a new TPS..

The service mgr said it was....and it was a no charge thing so he didnt do it for the money.........there is one other issue that causes idle problems...the butterfly may need adjustment and cleaning inside the throat of the throttle body...several here have fixed their idle problems this way........
