I've talked about it in a few threads, so I figured I'd do it here. This coming Friday, July 17th, I'm going down to the speedway with a few friends. They have a new 1/8th mile track and apparently, they have a pretty good turn out every Friday. I believe gates open at 6:00. I should be there by 7:30. Give me a call when/if you guys get to the track (786) 390-6646. Hope to meet a few of you. I'll start the list here:

1. SANTEEN (Steve)

Just in case anyone was interested, called the track and they said the Sunoco gas station will be open and selling race fuel.

I may be in Steve....Friday is a busy day for me I have a meeting/presentation with the Seminole Tribe for energy reduction project....don't know what time it is going to end and then my buddy's bday is that night (meeting at 10)
So as of right now, it's up in the air....good to know the gas station is open, want to race somewhat empty but will need to fill the beast for the ride home!

Haha, that's funny and ironic. Your in charge of an energy reduction project and you drive an SRT 10 gas hog.:D

I know..it's is ironic, but I don't dare drive the SRT therre....even though all of them at the building drive SRT-8 300's Chargers and Challengers...I always thought it would be a good convo but it is ironic:D I take the LR3 Land Rover there

Went out there last night and had a great time. Justin, it was nice to meet you. Nice to know that we have an in with the local law enforcement. ;) I know I had you a little worried with my first three races. I wasn't representing that well. But, in my defense, it's been over 10 years since I've been on a track. Not to mention the races were against an LS3 vette claiming 485 rwhp, a SRT 8 Challenger (almost had him) and a trailered 69 Camaro (probably running low 11's. :dontknow: But I know, no excuses. You run what you brung. Once I got my groove back, I was beating everything else that I ran. Which included a modded mustang, two guys running heavily modded Hemi Charger's. That was actually pretty funny. Once I spanked one Charger, his buddy jumped in line next to me and told me he was quicker than his friend and would like to run. That was spanking number 2. :D Anyway, I ran about 10 times last night and only lost 3 races. Bottom line, we had a great time and we need more representation out there. Come on guys. Roger, you know I'm calling you out.:burnout:

Way to represent Steve:congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

Steve,

I know you were just messing with me Justin.:) I'm definitely looking forward to more of us getting out there. I would have love to see one of our SC members against that vette (that would be you LitemUp).I could have used you out there, brother.

Dan, that track just opened a month ago. No tiiming yet, they wanted to see how the turn out would be. Well the turn out is very good and Justin told me on Friday that thet just ordered a tree and timing system. I thought the Pinks style arm drop would be lame, but it's actaully pretty cool. Not to mention they had a hot chick do the arm drop part of the night.:D

Some of the guys want to go next Friday. But, I'm not sure if I can. The follwing Friday, I leave for cruise so it may have to wait for the ine after that. But I'll see. If enough of the members want to go this Friday, then I'm sure I can find a way to make it. :D

Also, as far as times go. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I have a Superchips programmer from my 2006 Hemi ram and it has advanced data logging that actually works on our trucks. It can monitor several of the enine sensors plus speed and distance logging. Before the mods the best I could do with truck was 14.11 at 98 mph, according to the Superchips programmer. After all the mods it is now showing a best of 13.43 at 104 mph and that is taking off without stomping on the gas, if not it just spins way too much. :D So, take it for what it's worth, like I said, I'm not sure how accurate the Superchips is. All, I know is that it is noticeably quicker. :burnout:
