so had the truck dyno'd today...wow!!! horrible #'s, granted its on a mustang dyno and those are know to be 15-18% off compaired to a dynojet... i recently installed stage 4 ported heads...comp cam (specs are below),and crower 1.7 shaft rockers.. i also have bassani's, Xmetal TB, catless, mopar perf comp....

446rwtq
441rwhp

any thoughts?

dont flip out when you see my AFR on the max power column....when you got out of the throwttle it spiked...i think at the max hp and tq my afr was around 12.5

im hoping its jsut a tuning issue....i am ordering the sct tuner this week
well i was gonna post the dyno sheet but i guess the site is have tech problems..cause it wont let my press the attachment button...ill post when i can

im sure you will get it figured out .........wish i coukld be of more help but i just dont know.....sorry and good luck

Drive her down to the coast, fine a shop with a Dyno-Jet and pull a good number....you need that wet-air at the coast. :nurse:

Quick

im in houston....it doesnt get more humid than that brotha!!!!

i hope its a tuning issue....otherwise that about $11000 BUCKS ON JUST ABOUT NOTHING...EXCEPT A TRUCK THAT RUNS, NOW!

Bro you may just need to tune it.

There are a few viper shops here in town. cant think of the names. I think RSI went to DFW

Are you using the stock lifters?

on a mustang dyno>??

a mustang dyno is normally about 15% below conventional dynos....so if i were to do it on a dynojet...id be making about 50-65 more rwhp...still the numbers are still way low for the mods i have....i cant remember who it was but i iknow another member had almost identical mods to me and made around 540+rwhp and a shit load of torque... im hoping one of the member s here can maybe shead some light on possible problems

The dyno sheet does not indicate if the numbers are corrected or raw.

This needs to be determined befpre anything can be determined.

#'s are corrected Jack

PSI tuned a viper w/ heads and cam and they came out with almost 600rwhp, you might give Blaine or Patrick a call and see what they can do...

If we drive any closer to the water we will need a viper powered boat...

You might be referring to my old truck which made 535/567. The big difference in yours and mine is that mine was BUILT AND TUNED by Joe Donovan.

My cam selection was perfect for my mods and my heads, throttle body and intake runners were HAND PORTED to exact spec's by Joe.

Your heads/cam, intake and exhaust all have to be properly mated to compliment each other and work in unison. The engine must then be properly tuned.

You can do the exact same TYPE of mods as me but with a different head porter, different tuner or different cam selection you won't get the same results.

What were the full specs of the cam that you used? I know there is a certain point on these motors where you can go too big and lose power/torque.

drive to Coco Beach and let Marty do some custom dyno tuning using the SCT programmer. I don't think you should go with the generic tune on an SCT...you need to tune for the mods you've done. He netted me 40 ft lbs of torque on motor for my street tune VS the stock computer.
