Being in the industry for over 10 yrs there has been lots of changes. I have to say Mac definately has a niche product. There are some good sides to the mac OS vs windows but overall its kind of like the betamax vs vhs wars. People adopted windows back in the day because there was really nothing out(the GUI was such a huge revolution and MS implementation got people excited) and thats how its been since. I have worked extensively with Linux and I find it to be neat but I think MS has done a better job on the small things. But MS has ripped so much off from Linux and cashed in on it - but isnt that the American way??
