where do you tell the number your truck is? i have looked all over my truck and have found no plate under the hood or doors. so where do i find how many of this truck and what number my truck is.

It's coded in the VIN number - #s only available for '04s last I heard. A few on the board have access to records or whatever and can tell your production #. I'm sure one of them will chime in sooner or later.
