How much boost are the Paxton guys running?

How much boost are you guys running with the Paxton?

The reason why I'm asking is because according to my boost gauge I'm running close to 7.5 psi, and I heard that you can't go any higher than 5.5 psi on stock internals or the engine goes boom!
 
My original motor was running the stock 8psi. For whatever reason it threw a rod on the dyno. My current motor is running 8psi with Diamond pistons and water/meth injection. Joe from PBJ wanted to push up the boost a bit but I was a bit nervous about the stock rods not supporting the additional boost.
 
I ran 9 psi...

You can run 8-9 on stock internals with a SAFE tune and water / meth.

I would not run over 8 if not data logging and adjusting fuel and timing maps accordingly.

1 hit of detonation on stock pistons @ 9psi is boom.

When I hit the 7.5 psi my A/F meter is pegged on 10.0 (super rich). Hopefully I shouldn't have a problem. I'll be taking her back in a few weeks to get her dyno tuned.
 
are you guys using widebands? 10:1 a/f is actually too rich and can cause misfires, fouled plugs, and backfires!

When I got back home from PBJ I was also pegging my a/f around 10 above 4000 rpm or so in 3rd and 4th gear (I'm at a higher elevation then st. louis). A few calls to Joe and a few runs on the highway...adjusting some stuff in the VEC3, my a/f is better.
