Well, just my luck! I got the call at 4pm on Friday but just didnt have the heart to post it up....

Apparently Dave (the tech) was driving the truck on the freeway at an estimated 60mph and the oil pressure spiked, so he shut it down. After having it towed to his shop he tore it down to find that a couple bearings were scored and 2 rods were discolored. I dont really know what this means exactly but Im assuming it ran out of oil for some reason. They are acting like its not a huge deal but Im thinkin it is. I guess they have to turn the crank, replace 2 rods, and the bearings. This is the last of a long list of BS that ive been thru....Im really considering giving up!

Sorry about that Blake. Trust me, I know how your feelin'. Hopefully its not as bad as you think. If ya need anything parts-wise let me know. Maybe I can give you some stuff off my blown motor that is of use to you.

Can't say as I blame you. I remember one bike I built in particular. I don't know why, but it would never run right, never. I even swapped motors at one point, I think it was just jinxed. Ended up getting so pissed at it that I ran it over with my old dually LOL, then salvaged what I could. Cost me some money, but I was really in a good mood the rest of the day hehehe.

sorry about that see ya at the nats, we'll try to drink enough beer to forget about it for a few days. hopefully things will get better.

Yeah...NOT BLOWN. Just banged up...they just called and said it shouldnt be more than a couple weeks. Im thinkin that if they cant get it to run normal....whats gonna happen when I hit the "juice" at 200hp instantaneous on that thing.....I think KABOOM!

True assembled it using their machinist for the work...they use this guy all the time. The guy built NASCAR motors for 30 years. They acted like it wasnt a mojor deal but u know how that goes.

The repair better be on their dime...there's no excuse for a that motor to go that quickly if it was machined and assembled correctly

They had already seated the rings. He says he was just getting a few miles on "easy miles" before he started adjusting the tune. He was watching the wideband and all that.....I dont know....it sounds funny. I cant believe all that heavy duty shit went bad under NOload at LOW rpm's

Sorry to hear about this Blake, it sounds like history is repeating itself, any idea why there would be a second engine failure? It would seem there is a problem outside the internal components' renovation. Just an opinion.

I dont want to sound like a kill joy, but find another engine builder, if it went that way under no load, what will happen under 8-900hp?

Sorry to hear that Blake. I hope they get it fixed soon.
Mas

Its torn down....and they have made a commitment to get it back on the road in a week or so. Its not a "blown" motor....its a snag. Hopefully, it will be ready. Its not as bad as I thought....hopefully
